Platonic Solid: Water

The solid of water, the icosahedron, embodies the fluidity and dynamism of the element it represents. Like the ebbs and flows of the ocean tides, its twenty triangular faces interconnect and flow into each other in a continuous, harmonious motion.

Description

As I created this lamp, I found myself drawn into a meditative state, feeling as though I was diving deep into the ocean's depths. It was as if I was experiencing the interconnectedness of all life on this planet, the infinite web of relationships that exists between all living beings.

In the same way that water nourishes and sustains all life, the solid of water is a symbol of the interconnectedness of all things, reminding us of the importance of living in harmony with the natural world. It is a reminder that, just as the smallest ripple can create a wave, our actions have the power to create a ripple effect that can reach far beyond our individual selves.

As I melted and shaped the metal into the form of the icosahedron, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the life-giving properties of water. It is my hope that this lamp serves as a reminder of the beauty and interconnectedness of all things, and inspires others to cultivate a deep reverence for the natural world around us.
